About Lynne Bowman

LynneWorking with Silicon Valley companies as a creative director and marketing consultant since 1980, Lynne Bowman has won national creative awards and broken ground applying consumer strategies to technology products and services.

She was Creative Director at E&J Gallo Winery during Bartles & Jaymes’ heyday, and previous to that, Advertising Manager at Redken Laboratories, holding various other creative positions with agencies and clients in San Jose, Los Angeles, and on the East Coast. She had also worked as an illustrator, broadcast producer, legal journalist and television Weather Person.

In 1996, Lynne and her husband, Rodger Reinhart, fell in love with Pescadero, a little coastal town 35 miles south of San Francisco, and bought an old farm at the edge of the redwoods. The sleepy rural village worked its spell, and before long Lynne was writing grants and directing a project to rehabilitate Pescadero’s historic Community Church and Native Sons’ Hall. Now president of the Pescadero Foundation, she is helping to lead community efforts to encourage a new generation of organic farmers, and to build a sustainable infrastructure and affordable homes in rural San Mateo County.

As part of a mission to help move people toward healthier, more nourishing ways of living, Lynne has teamed up with pal Deidre Hall to write, speak and teach on the subject. She is the mother of three grown children, various cats, dogs and horses, and at this writing, one absolutely perfect grandchild.
